I am an 8th grade Language Arts Teacher. In 2009, I took part in the National Writing Project  Summer Institute at Kent State. It was an unbelievable experience in which I grew as an overall person and writer, but especially a writing teacher! I wanted to created a place to write in a different genre than I ever have before- a blog. In this space, I hope to share ideas and hear from others to improve my teaching!

I have presented at numerous conferences on reading and writing topics. I also am a consultant to a local school who is trying to implement literature circles and improve their student’s comprehension,  reading and writing scores.
